Job Description

As a Group Lead, you will guide multiple teams of IT DevOps professionals within a single Agile Release Train. You’ll work closely with the Release Train Engineer, Chief Product Owner, and System Architect to align team development with delivery goals and customer value.

Beyond your team, you’ll collaborate with fellow Group Leads and senior management across Departments to shape and implement tactical and strategic decisions. You’ll play a key role in cascading direction, sharing insights, and ensuring alignment between people development and organizational priorities.

You’ll coach individuals, support their career growth, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You’ll also manage supplier relationships, contribute to workforce planning, and help shape the technical and personal development roadmap for your team.

You’ll contribute to the strategy and business plan for the department and translate this into an annual operational/people plan for your own group. You’ll contribute to the success of the department by taking ownership beyond the scope of your own group. 

Context of the position 

At ASML we invent, develop and manufacture world-leading high tech lithography machines for our chip making customers. These tailor-made machines can image billions of structures in a few seconds with an accuracy of a few silicon atoms. Our headquarters are in the heart of the Eindhoven region, also known as ‘Brainport’, Europe’s top tech hub. 

The IT division supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. The IT 

infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML’s internal and external activities. 

A sub-cluster within the IT organization is IT Solution Delivery for R&D; this IT R&D is responsible for the engineering infrastructure services and applications/tooling for ASML’s Research and Development organization. We ensure that these services are running in an optimal way and we look at innovating the services. We also support the IT applications that are used at ASML. 

IT Solution Delivery for R&D supports two development disciplines: Hardware (mechanical, electrical, simulation) and Software engineering. As an IT Group Leader you will be active in the Hardware discipline, supporting engineering applications for complete D&E and Research worldwide. You will report to the Head of IT R&D Solution Delivery Hardware.
