Marketing Specialist

As a Marketing Specialist, you’re the driving force behind the growth of our propositions within the Manure portfolio. This portfolio includes all products and services, related to cow manure. Yes, you read that right – we’re talking about poop. We believe manure is highly valuable, and we’re committed to collecting and reusing it through robotics and automation. 

In this role, you combine sharp data insights with creative marketing strategies to identify and seize new opportunities. You’re responsible for developing and executing innovative tactics that lead to sustainable growth of our global customer base. You’ll collaborate closely with various teams, including the Business Team Manure, colleagues in Proposition Management, and the marketers in more than 30 countries where we’re active with our manure solutions. 

What you’ll do 
The role of Marketing Specialist has two main focus areas: 

Your tasks include: 

• Translating the (commercial) objectives of the Business Team Manure into marketing tactics, working closely with local marketing teams to implement these on a global scale. 
• Working closely within a competence team, for amongst others, Lely overarching initiatives related to the Brand
• Coordinating and developing all proposition communication: how do we best position a new product? What are the main benefits for the end customer? And how do we best formulate and communicate these to our target audience?
• Developing, creating, and optimizing integrated marketing campaigns across various channels: from digital marketing, content marketing, and social media to webinars, offline events, and trade shows.
• Understanding the importance of KPI-driven marketing and continuously striving for growth in our markets. You're not only focused on increasing awareness, generating leads, and ultimately converting to sales – you also know how to measure and improve these results. 
• Analyzing data to gain insights into audience behavior and constantly testing and optimizing marketing campaigns and initiatives to improve conversion rates and ROI. 

You’ll be part of the Proposition Marketing team, where you can collaborate with fellow marketers responsible for their own propositions. From there, you’ll work with the Business Team Manure, which focuses on manure and reusing the valuable nutrients it contains. This team handles everything related to our manure robot, the Lely Discovery, as well as our circular barn system, the Lely Sphere. You’ll also be in close contact with marketing specialists in our global offices. 

• A completed bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field; 
• A strong understanding and experience in Marketing, not limited to promotion only.
• At least 5 years of experience with data-driven marketing, preferably in a B2B environment; 
• Strong command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written; 
• Solid knowledge and experience with campaign management; 
• Ability to switch gears quickly, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proactive working style; 
• A genuine interest in the agricultural sector and circular economy.
