Senior Electrical Safety Expert (Nominated Person – Installatie verantwoordelijke EUV Factory)

Introduction to the Job

Join ASML As Senior Electrical Safety within the EHS department of the EUV Factory, you will act as the Nominated Person (Installatieverantwoordelijke, IV) responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and modification of electrical installations. This role ensures compliance with electrical safety legislation and strengthens ASML’s safety culture.

Role and Responsibilities

• Serve as Installatieverantwoordelijke (NEN 3140/3840), maintaining the Electrical Safety Management System, overseeing authorization of QEW/IEW roles, and managing competency frameworks for E‑roles.

• Ensure correct LOTO implementation, access control to electrical areas, and safe execution of maintenance, inspections, and handovers.

• Approve high‑risk electrical assessments and align standards for machines, utilities, and low‑voltage systems.

• Monitor compliance with applicable standards and legislation, and coordinate internal and external Electrical Safety audits.

• Lead investigations of electrical incidents, drive continuous improvement, and capture lessons learned.

• Report on electrical safety performance and deliver electrical safety training.

• Advise Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and Corporate EHS on electrical safety matters.

Education and experience

• Bachelor/Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• 10–15+ years experience in high‑tech/industrial electrical safety.

• Strong knowledge of Industrial Standards Low Voltage (NEN 3140, NEN 1010) and Machine Directive

• Preferred: Strong knowledge of High Voltage (NEN 3840) and BEI certificate (Low/High Voltage)

• Fluent in English
