Quality Control Employee

As a Quality Control Employee at The New Plant, you will be part of the Quality team and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to ensure the quality of our Beyond Meat products. We are looking for someone who is confident when making independent decisions when Quality Assurance colleagues are absent.

Your duties will include:
🔬 Taking samples in accordance with the sampling schedule, including laboratory records, assessment of follow-up actions and the archiving of laboratory reports;
🔬 Conducting root cause analyses for incidents and complaints, whilst actively monitoring the implementation of corrective and preventive measures by the relevant departments;
🔬 Identifying, investigating and resolving blockages;
🔬 Training and mentoring new staff;
🔬 Supporting improvement initiatives on the work floor;
🔬 Participating in the Audits on the work floor;
🔬 Carrying out quality inspections, such as incoming and outgoing checks, daily hygiene rounds, glassware checks, checks on CM/CCPs, label checks and sensory tests;
🔬 Compliance with the HACCP system: you follow the company’s rules regarding quality and food safety and actively promote them by setting a good example.

Functie eisen

In line with our expectations, we expect our team members to be passionate about their work, to act with honesty and integrity, and to have a healthy dose of enthusiasm. The desired skills for the Quality Control Employee are also:
👉 At least MBO level of working and thinking;
👉 2-3 years work experience as a Quality Control Employee in a food company;
👉 Flexibility: working in four overlapping shifts, with Saturdays occasionally forming part of the working week;
👉 Fluency in spoken and written English; Dutch is an advantage;
👉 Knowledge of HACCP and GFSI;
👉 Strong communication skills, persuasive and decisive;
👉 Works accurately and is proactive;
👉 You are proficient in Excel and Word.

Your team
Within your team, you will be working alongside three Quality Control Employee, a Quality Control Supervisor and a Quality Control Manager, and you will collaborate with two Quality Assurance Assistants.

The New Plant
At The New Plant, we produce Beyond Meat’s plant-based protein products for customers in Europe, the Middle East and parts of Africa. Beyond Meat has been partnering with McDonald’s since 2021 and supplies the vegetarian patty for the McPlant.
