As Risk Officer Resilience, you support the resilience function of Tata Steel Nederland by safeguarding business continuity management, crisis preparedness, and CER / WWKE assurance. You keep continuity plans up to date, facilitate exercises, and provide operational support during incidents.

You maintain crisis documentation, collect assurance evidence, prepare reports, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to validate plans and implement improvements. In addition, you capture lessons learned from exercises and incidents and contribute to the further development of standards, templates and tools.

As Risk Officer Resilience at Tata Steel, you will:

• Maintain the Critical Assets Map and site continuity plans, and perform criticality assessments following changes or exercises.
• Support the design, coordination and execution of crisis simulations and tabletop exercises, including scenario development and after‑action reporting.
• Manage crisis playbooks, contact lists, escalation matrices and communication templates, including version control and distribution.
• Assist with CER / WWKE compliance by collecting evidence, compiling assurance packs and responding to audit questions.
• Provide incident support by gathering situational data, preparing situation reports and maintaining incident logs.

You are structured, communicatively strong and enjoy working hands‑on in a role that combines office‑based work with operational involvement. You easily switch between planning, execution and reporting, remain effective in stressful situations and contribute to concrete improvements in preparedness and compliance. In addition, you have:

• 4–7 years of experience / Junior: 1–3 years of experience in business continuity, emergency planning, resilience, security, HSE or a related field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Security, Safety, Emergency Management, Business Continuity or a comparable discipline.
• Relevant certifications (BCI, ISO 22301, NEBOSH or equivalent) are desirable; mid‑senior candidates preferably hold these or are actively working towards them.
• Experience with exercises, plan maintenance, incident logging and readiness evidence.
• Proficiency in MS Office; basic knowledge of BI tools and GRC / incident management systems is a plus.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Jouw werkomgeving

You work within the Resilience team as part of the Risk department and report to the Manager Risk Resilience. On a daily basis, you coordinate with Operations, Plant Management, Security, HSE, IT and external emergency services.

The role is hybrid: office‑based work is combined with site visits, exercise facilitation and incident response. Your contribution directly enhances the operational preparedness, compliance and recovery capability of Tata Steel Nederland.
